Welcome to Salisbury Special Tool . It was started by Paul Varga on July 4, 1976, a Mechanical Engineer and a PE. It is located in Salisbury on the Eastern shore Maryland. It started as a precision machining and Tool and Die shop. As our customers got to know our quality work, they started asking us if we could also do Gages? Both GO and NOGO for "Special Shapes" and "TPF" (True Position Functional).These gages are generally not available from the standard Plug and Ring Gage manufacturers. Since we already were designing and building precision Tooling and Die Sets with highly qualified machinists and tool and Die makers and top of the line machine tools: Hardinge Tool Room Lathe, B&S Micro Master Surface and Cylindrical Grinders and PERRIN Jig boring and Jig grinding. Therefore, we decided to phase in these two types of gages.

In October 1982 SST was certified to do MIL-I-45208 Quality Control. By 1986 Salisbury Special Tool was recognized as a reliable source for these types of Gages.

Currently we are designing and building:
A) TPF (True Position Functional) Gages.
B) Shaped GO and NOGO Plug and Ring Gages.
C) Assembly Die Sets.
